Jim came to Wilmington from Texas via Miami to open Two Wheeler Dealer, and to be close to the surf. He is now celebrating over 40 years in the business. His first bike was a kid's Schwinn and his first road bike was a Raleigh Grand Prix. At least 80% of Jim's time is spent on the sales floor, so that he can promote his philosophy that bikes are fun and that the buyer needs to be happy. Jim as competed in triathlons (he became an Ironman at Ironman Brazil in 2004), road bike racing, mountain biking, cycle touring, and still rides a road bike numerous times a week. His passion since the age of 15 has been surfing and still surfs on a regular basis.
Chris is originally from Maryland. She resided in the mountains of Virginia before moving to Wilmington in 1977. Now she rides a hybrid around the neighborhood.

When parts began breaking on his BMX bike, Nick started turning wrenches to keep riding. For years he had fun putting this skill to good use doing repairs, between dirt jumping and ramp riding, while working st Dave Mirra's Eastwood Ramp Park. Shortly after the skatepark closed Nick joined the TWD team, and has been part of the family ever since. While working here his enthusiasm for two wheel adventures has taken him to teach BMX ramp riding at Camp Woodward, tour Nova Scotia, mountain bike endless miles of Western NC and complete the B2B Ironman.
Jonathan has been working at the shop for just about 10 years. He started out learning how to repair bikes in the service department and also likes to move out to the sales floor to learn a different aspect of the shop. Jonathan has been riding bikes all his life for either leisure or transportation. Surfing and skateboarding also take up a lot of his time and allow him to travel a fair bit.
